WHAT: |
The third annual Flowers Heritage Foundation “Don’t Turn your back on AIDS” program provides an interactive environment where high school students learn information regarding teen HIV/AIDS infections, risks and prevention. Participants are given orientations by AIDS outreach educators, and are challenged to interpret their views of the disease through artistic expression. |
The Flowers Heritage Foundation will honor 26 of the high school artists whose work will be showcased at the event, and be available for guests to bid on in a silent auction, with all of the proceeds going to the Foundation’s public health programs. |
Six students will be honored with the top awards and 20 students will be recognized with honorable mention prizes. The top three winners’ high school art departments will receive a matching award. |
