MINNEAPOLIS--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Swarmcast, the leader in high-quality online video delivery, and iClips.net, the leading provider of free online concert streams, recently teamed together to provide a live Internet broadcast from Nelson Mandela's 46664 World AIDS Day concert in Johannesburg, South Africa on December 1, 2007. Held in Johannesburg's Ellis Park and organized by Mandela's 46664 organization, the concert featured performances by Peter Gabriel, Annie Lennox, Corinne Bailey Rae and Ludacris, as well as over 40 local artists. iClips.net will rebroadcast the concert in its entirety for free on Saturday, December 8, 2007, and will archive the content on its network for further viewings later this month.

Founded in 2002, 46664 (named after Mandela's prison number), is an African-based organization aimed at fighting the global HIV/AIDS epidemic. The World AIDS Day event is the sixth worldwide concert that 46664 has organized and the fourth to be held in South Africa; previous events have been hosted in Spain and Norway.

With Swarmcast Live, the entire spectrum of content producers from musicians, festival organizers, philanthropists and sports teams can serve their expanding global audience."

"Cause-oriented concerts have long been one of the most successful, most exciting and most lucrative forms of philanthropy," said Nate Parienti, co-founder and chief strategy officer of iClips.net. "For the last few decades, the message and mission of these shows was limited to physical attendees, media coverage and DVD sales. iClips.net, with Swarmcast Live, has greatly expanded the reach and effect of these efforts. We're proud to have brought the message of this concert to the masses and are thrilled to add the stream to our burgeoning library of content."
