HANSON and Blake Mycoskie, Creator of TOMS Shoes, to be Honored at the World-Famous West Hollywood Halloween Carnaval on Wednesday, October 31, 2007: Frighteningly Fabulous Entertainment to Include Thelma Houston, Klymaxx and Mini KISS

Business Wire - October 25, 2007

WEST HOLLYWOOD, Calif. -- The heart of West Hollywood, Santa Monica Boulevard, will once again be pulsing with excitement on Halloween night as hundreds of thousands of Halloween revelers are expected to flock to the famous Boulevard for the 2007 West Hollywood Halloween Costume Carnaval on Wednesday, October 31, 2007 from 6 p.m. to 12 midnight. This year, recording artist HANSON and TOMS Shoes will be honored at the West Hollywood Halloween Carnaval on the City Stage located at La Peer Drive and Santa Monica Boulevard at 9 p.m for their humanitarian efforts in fighting poverty and HIV/AIDS in Africa. The Costume Carnaval will be held along Santa Monica Boulevard between Doheny Drive and La Cienega Boulevard. Admission is free.

Named after the original "Carnaval" in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil the West Hollywood Halloween Costume Carnaval will feature entertainment on four outdoor stages. Recording artist HANSON will perform a mini-concert off their new album "The Walk." Other scheduled performers include legendary R & B singer and Grammy Award-winner Thelma Houston; the all-female 80's band Klymaxx, that sang hits such as "Meeting in the Ladies Room"; and Mini KISS, a little people KISS tribute cover band.

A team of "secret" Halloween judges will be walking up and down Santa Monica Boulevard beginning at 6 p.m. and handing out wristbands that will qualify 20 contestants for the Costume Contest finals at 10 p.m. that evening. The Costume Stage will be located on the corner of La Peer Drive and Santa Monica Boulevard.

The West Hollywood Halloween Costume Carnaval is produced by the City of West Hollywood and the West Hollywood Convention and Visitors Bureau and is co-sponsored by the Clear Channel Radio Group including the radio stations STAR 98.7, HOT 92.3, KIIS FM 102.7, and 104.3 MYfm.

Public parking for the West Hollywood Halloween Costume Carnaval will be available at parking lots throughout West Hollywood.
