eLogic Learning Delivers Online Health Care Platform to Developing Nations

Business Wire - November 20, 2002

TAMPA, Fla.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Nov. 20, 2002--eLogic Learning, a next generation provider of fully-integrated, end-to-end eLearning solutions, today announced that it has been selected to provide Population Services International ("PSI") with the learning technology behind their recently initiated "Health Portal Program." This comprehensive program was developed to effectively use technology to help address the "digital divide" and "information poverty" within the private health sector in developing nations. The pilot program, slated to launch in Zimbabwe, will provide computers, Internet access, IT training and a comprehensive, online health portal to nearly 200 local physicians, nurses and pharmacists.

eLogic Learning's eSSential(TM) Learning Content Management System will be the driving force behind the distance learning component of the program's health portal. Utilizing this platform, PSI will develop a comprehensive selection of web-based course modules enabling participating healthcare professionals to receive continuing training and certification online.

"We are very excited to be a part of this project. Not only does this program extend eLogic Learning's reach to the global market, but it allows us to eventually bring critical health care information to potentially thousands of health care providers that otherwise would not have access," said Mitch Diamond, President and CEO of eLogic Learning.

The health portal, located at http://www.PSIHealth.org, contains comprehensive medical reference material, robust search capabilities, Web-based health training programs, and an e-community area tailored to the information and training needs of local health providers. Participants will have access to a comprehensive array of online training in the areas of HIV/AIDS treatment and counseling, reproductive health, infectious diseases and more.
