BERNARDSVILLE, N.J.--(BW HealthWire)--Aug. 15, 2002-- Millennium Biotechnologies, Inc. (OTCBB:MBTG), a wholly owned subsidiary of Millennium Biotechnologies Group, Inc., today announced the introduction of Prosurgex(TM), a high protein/high calorie modular nutritional meal replacement and supplement available in the U.S. Like the Company's Resurgex(TM) nutritional supplement, a product currently being marketed and Medicaid reimbursed in Connecticut, Nevada and New Jersey, Prosurgex is a proprietary powdered formulation containing the Company's proprietary ingredient superoxide dismutase (SOD/Gliadin) in a single-use, disposable container. Patients mix Prosurgex with water to create a drink that contains 400 high quality calories suitable for a meal replacement.

Highly versatile, Prosurgex can be taken orally, or can be delivered through enteral feeding tubes for patients requiring nutrition delivery directly to the stomach or intestines. Currently available with vanilla flavoring, Millennium intends to develop additional flavors of Prosurgex in the coming months.
