BUSINESS WIRE; Monday, February 16, 1998
WHAT: The San Francisco AIDS Foundation's Gay Life program -- a groundbreaking new HIV prevention program that focuses on the whole man, not just sexual activity -- kicks off with "Manhunt: Dateless in San Francisco." This lively, interactive forum will allow gay and bisexual men to discuss dating, relationships and body image areas that they have identified in AIDS Foundation studies as topics they want to explore.
All 150 seats have already been filled by men RSVPing for the event, where there will be a provocative and humorous video presentation on the perils of dating and finding a man ("Days of Our Gay Lives"), spaghetti feed, and entertainment by the San Francisco Gay Men's Chorus Lollypop Guild. Chablis, drag queen extraordinaire, will emcee the event.
WHEN: Tuesday, Feb. 17. Doors open at 6:30 p.m.; dinner is served at 7 p.m.; and the forum is 7:30-9 p.m.
WHERE: Josie's Cabaret & Juice Joint, 3583 16th St. at Market, San Francisco
CONTACT: Members of the media who wish to cover the event can contact Jeff De Lucio-Brock at 415/487-3072 or Derek Gordon at 415/487-3031.
