The new HY-TEC 288 is a result of a partnership between Hycor and Vital Scientific N.V. of Spankeren/Dieren, The Netherlands. Vital Scientific N.V., a subsidiary of Novitron International Inc., Newton, Mass. designs and manufactures scientific instrumentation.
According to Richard D. Hamill, Ph.D., chairman, president and chief executive officer, "The excellent reception HY-TEC 288 received at Medica because of its performance, features and expected selling price makes the outlook very encouraging.
"The new instrument, expected to be available during the third quarter of 1997, will complement our current high volume HY-TEC automated system; both instruments are the only fully automated diagnostic systems for allergy and autoimmune testing.
