Wachira Hospital director Thani Boonaoprasit said the girl might have received the allegedly fatal jabs elsewhere as there were no records to confirm she had been born at the hospital in 1996, as claimed by the girl's mother, Suthira Rungkan.
The birth of a baby girl to a woman named Thaworn Rungkan had been registered in that year, but records had been destroyed as the family had not maintained contact with the hospital.
"We cannot prove if Ms Thaworn and Ms Suthira are the same person in the event a false name was given," Dr Thani said.
He was able to confirm the baby registered to Ms Thaworn was given three vaccination shots before leaving the hospital, but said disposable needles would have been used.
Ms Suthira and her husband are both HIV-negative and claim their daughter, Monsicha Rungkan, contracted Aids from vaccination shots at the hospital. Monsicha died from the effects of the disease this month in Ayutthaya.
