The wife of party leader Ian Paisley said the "scourge of HIV/Aids is invading the world at breakneck speed".
Lady Paisley said that in the UK the number of cases reported up to the end of June this year totalled 80,500 which included more than 7,000 new cases.
She was critical that 15-year-olds were classed as adults in Aids figures.
She said that since 1999 there had been a steep increase in infections and the major cause of this was more heterosexually-acquired cases.
The infections last year amounted to more than 4,000 compared with 840 nine years earlier, she said.
"In the same period infections acquired by homosexual and bisexual men were almost 2,500 compared with 1,500 in the same period."
Eileen Paisley is known as Baroness Paisley of St George's, after the ward which elected her to Belfast City Council in 1967.
