The global event on Thursday aims to educate people about the virus and raise money for research and treatment.
More than 20 people in Guernsey have the HIV Aids virus and there has been a big increase in the number of people treated in the past 10 years.
The red ribbon is the symbol of the day and people can show their support at a vigil in Town Church in the evening.
