Feston Konzani - an African musician originally from Malawi - was charged initially on three counts of causing grievous bodily harm with intent last month.
After he appeared in court in November accused of deliberately passing on the Aids virus, police were contacted by more women.
Mr Konzani, 27, who lives in Albany Street, Middlesbrough, has now been charged with two more counts of causing grievous bodily harm with intent.
The offences are alleged to have happened this year and between 1999 and 2002.
Mr Konzani will appear before Teesside magistrates court on Monday.
