Medicine Wheel is a room-sized work of art created by Michael Dowling. He first developed the visually dramatic work in 1993 as part of "A Day Without Art," the art community's response to AIDS. Every hour of the vigil will be marked by an offering of song, poetry, dance and various rituals rooted in sound. Traditionally, participants leave offerings (personal objects, letters, pictures, poems) in Medicine Wheel for the healing and remembrance of those affected by HIV and AIDS. The exhibit is open to the public Nov. 28, 29 and 30. The vigil will run for 24 hours Dec. 1 at the Boston Center for the Arts, 539 Tremont St., Boston.
