The luncheon -- also hosted by Supervisor Mark Leno and 2223 Restaurant and Bar -- is expected to draw approximately 150 people and raise $15,000 for AEF, which provides direct emergency financial assistance to people living with HIV/AIDS.
The afternoon festivities will feature a gourmet buffet lunch prepared and donated by Melinda Randolph and David Gray of 2223 Restaurant and Bar. It will also feature appetizers from Mecca Restaurant and dessert by Montage Restaurant at Metreon.
Entertainment will include The Sarah Knutson Quartet playing in the garden and then will close with a "fantastic" raffle hosted by San Francisco's own Donna Sachet.
"We always pick the second Saturday in October as it is the best weekend of the year for guests to be outside and enjoy the gardens," said O'Halloran.
"Great food, live entertainment, and a terrific beneficiary should make this our most successful fundraising event ever," added Boeddiker.
"This is one of the most fun events we participate in," said AEF's Clark Sealy. "With the help of the Parker House, 2223 Restaurant and Bar, and Supervisor Leno, the funds raised will help a large number of AEF's clients with their emergency rent, phone, and utility needs."
Tickets for the event are $75 per person, with 100 percent of the proceeds going directly to AEF. The luncheon takes place from 1-5 p.m. at the Parker House, 520 Church Street. For more information or tickets, call (415) 621-3222.
