Redwood city bazaar to benefit AIDS programs

Bay Area Reporter - September 21, 2000
Katie Szymanski

Everybody loves a good sidewalk sale, and it's even better to know that one can rummage for a worthy cause. This weekend provides the public an opportunity to shop without guilt, as Redwood City's AIDS Community Research Consortium has announced its first-ever community bazaar to benefit ACRC's programs and services.

The community bazaar will be held this Saturday, September 23, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. in the parking lot of the ACRC office at 1048 El Camino Real. Great finds - many of which have been donated by local businesses - include new jewelry, linens, decorative items, paper goods, books, kitchenware, children's items, and craft kits. Proceeds from sales go to ACRC, a nonprofit, community-based organization that addresses the needs of traditionally underserved communities throughout San Mateo, Santa Clara, and Santa Cruz counties. For more information on ACRC or the bazaar, call (650) 364-6563.
