The international police agency says 16 million fake pills were uncovered in the operation, including drugs for fighting malaria and tuberculosis.
Interpol said in a statement Monday that 27 people were arrested in an operation from April to September that was backed by Interpol and the World Health Organization.
The countries involved were Cambodia, China, Laos, Myanmar, Singapore, Thailand and Vietnam.
A string of fatalities blamed on counterfeit or shoddily made medications have gained attention in recent years, particularly in China.
