City Offers Tests For AIDS

Associated Press - November 4, 1986

New York City will begin offering free, anonymous blood tests for the AIDS virus today at a clinic on Manhattan's West Side, a city Health Department official said yesterday. Susan Rosenthal, director of AIDS counseling, said the city also plans to eventually expand the program, starting up at the Baumgartner Health Center, to sites in Harlem, Brooklyn, Queens and the Bronx. The tests require an appointment, which can be made b calling (718)485-8111.
