But unmarried men between the ages of 20 and 49 living in cities with high numbers of victims of acquired immune deficiency syndrome will be questioned more closely and might pay higher premiums, said the spokesman, Bill Forsythe of the Lincoln National Corporation.
The cities referred to are New York, San Francisco, Los Angeles, Miami, Newark and "probably" Houston.
The corporation is the holding company for the Lincoln National Life Insurance Company of Fort Wayne, which suggested that underwriters use marital status, "life style, habits or medical history" to identify potential victims of the disease.
