MEXICO, 4 août 2008 (AFP) - Des organisations humanitaires ont exigé lundi, en marge de la conférence mondiale contre le sida à Mexico, la libération "immédiate" des deux médecins iraniens, des frères, arrêtés en Iran en juin sous l'accusation d'incitation au renversement du gouvernement iranien.
"Nous exigeons du gouvernement iranien la libération de ces deux médecins frères immédiatement et qu'il nous disent où ils se trouvent pour pouvoir leur fournir un soutien juridique", a déclaré Fran Donague, membre de Physicians for Human Rights (PHR).
Les deux médecins Arash Alaei et Kamiar Alaei, ont consacré la plus grande partie de leur vie à la promotion internationale de l'éducation relative au HIV-sida, la prévention et le traitement de la maladie en Iran et ils devaient participer à la conférence de Mexico.
La seule information disponible sur eux est que, selon le gouvernement iranien, ils ont été arrêtés car leur voyages internationaux auraient servi à entreprendre la déstabilisation du gouvernement iranien. Les deux frères ont été arrêtés les 21 et 22 juin.
