PARIS, 4 jan 2008 (AFP) - Le frère Bruno Cadoré, prieur des dominicains de France, a été désigné par le président de la République au conseil national du sida, selon un décret paru vendredi au Journal officiel.
Bruno Cadoré, 53 ans, est médecin et professeur d'éthique biomédicale à l'université catholique de Lille.
Le Conseil national du sida, qui compte 24 membres, a été créé en 1989 pour donner des avis sur les problèmes posés à la société par la maladie. Il peut être saisi par les autorités de l'Etat ou s'auto-saisir. Il est présidé depuis 2003 par le professeur Willy Rozenbaum.
Le conseil publie tous les deux ou trois ans des rapports sur le thème "Ethique, sida et société".
