Rom, 20. Februar (AFP) - In Florenz sind drei Patienten Organe einer mit dem Aids-erregenden HI-Virus infizierten Frau eingepflanzt worden. Die drei Betroffenen hätten Mitte Februar die Leber und jeweils eine Niere einer 41-Jährigen erhalten, die an einer Hirnblutung verstorben war, teilte der Leiter des Transplantationsinstituts OTT, Franco Filipponi, am Dienstag mit. Eine Infektion der Organempfänger mit HIV sei sehr wahrscheinlich, bislang aber nicht nachgewiesen. Die Patienten würden nun mit einer Kombinationstherapie gegen das Immunschwäche-Virus behandelt, hieß es weiter.
Im Labor des Krankenhauses wurden die Ergebnisse der Blutuntersuchungen bei der Organspenderin laut OTT versehentlich falsch übertragen. "Es handelt sich um äußerst schwerwiegendes menschliches Versagen", sagte Filipponi. Der Vorfall solle nun untersucht werden. Der folgenschwere Irrtum war aufgefallen, als Gewebeproben der Spenderin untersucht wurden. Die Florentiner Staatsanwaltschaft leitete nach Informationen der italienischen Nachrichtenagentur Ansa Ermittlungen in dem Fall ein.
