Princess Stephanie lends voice to AIDS charity song

Agence France-Presse - June 20, 2006

PARIS, June 20, 2006 (AFP) - Monaco's Princess Stephanie is lending her voice to a song whose proceeds will go to an AIDS charity, its producers told AFP Tuesday.

The princess -- who had a brief pop hit in the 1980s with a track titled "Comme un Ouragan" (Like a Hurricane) -- will accompanied by top French singers including Patrick Bruel and Benabar.

The song, "L'Or de nos Vies" (The Gold in our Lives), will be made available on legal online downloading sites from July and in stores in August. It was written by the French group Kyo.

Money raised will be given to Fight Aids Monaco, a charity headed by Stephanie's brother, Prince Albert II, who reigns over their wealthy mini-state.
