DISTRICT OF COLUMBIA: Possible Case of TB Investigated

The D.C. Department of Health is looking into a suspected case of pulmonary tuberculosis in a graduate student at Georgetown University. This week, school officials notified persons who might have been in close contact with the student, who lives off campus, and recommended TB screening for some. Georgetown will hold an information session on campus Jan. 17. Until then, students with concerns or questions can contact the District's TB control program at 202-698-4040 or the student health center at 202-687-2200.
