Fewer than five employees of the MotorCity Casino in Detroit are being treated for TB and are scheduled to receive chest X- rays to determine whether they have an active form of the disease, said Detroit Health Department spokesperson Wende Berry. A total of 35 casino employees were tested for TB after a worker there became ill with the disease about a month ago, said Berry. In a separate incident, 13 students and staff at the Deiter Trainable Center, a Detroit Public Schools special education facility, underwent TB skin tests after a teacher's assistant was diagnosed with active TB and started treatment a few weeks ago.
