S.F. AIDS Programs to Get $36 Million

Sixty-three San Francisco-area AIDS groups will receive a total of $36 million in grants as part of the Ryan White Comprehensive AIDS Resources Emergency Act, Rep. Nancy Pelosi (D-S.F.) announced. The money will also go for services in San Mateo and Marin counties, helping people living with HIV/AIDS. San Francisco has received funds from the Ryan White Act since it was passed in 1990. The San Francisco Health Department will be the grantee for the funds, with the distribution priorities set by the city's HIV Planning Services Council.
