2nd Progress Report' Released by Presidential Advisory Council on HIV/AIDS

Presidential Advisory Council on HIV/AIDS (12/18/97)


Abstract: The Presidential Advisory Council on HIV/AIDS (Council) released its 2nd Progress Report on December 7, 1997. The Presidential Advisory Council on HIV/AIDS was created by Executive Order 12963, dated June 14, 1995, as amended by Executive Order 13009, dated June 14, 1996, to provide advice, information and recommendations to the President and Secretary of Health and Human Services regarding programs and policies intended to promote effective prevention of HIV disease, advance research on HIV disease and AIDS, and promote quality services to those living with HIV/AIDS. The functions of the Council shall be solely advisory in nature. The 2nd Progress Report is available from the CDC National AIDS Clearinghouse (CDC NAC). The report may be viewed and/or printed from the CDC NAC Web site at http://www.cdcnac.org/execsum.html. A printed copy of the report can be mailed (document # D941) or faxed to you (document # 4023) by calling CDC NAC at 1-800-458 -5231.
