"TV: Monty Python Returns, A Clear-Eyed Look at AIDS"

Wall Street Journal (06/06/91), P. A16
Rabinowitz, Dorothy

Abstract: Without "sanctimony" or "tendentiousness," "Absolutely Positive," a documentary on AIDS by Peter Adair that airs June 18 on PBS, manages to treat people with the disease as if they are human men and women, writes Dorothy Rabinowitz of the Wall Street Journal. The film covers the stories of several HIV-positive men and women from "the usual risk groups," who tell their tales with extraordinary appeal, humor, and candor, Rabinowitz concludes. The P.O.V. production airs from 10 to 11 p.m.
