"Hank Cook: AIDS Activist"

Abstract: The former president of the San Francisco AIDS Emergency Fund, Hank Cook, died of AIDS Dec. 27 at a hospice in San Francisco. Cook was 47 years old. Cook, who presided over the fund in 1987 and 1988, helped raise $1.5 million to pay bills, provide food, and give support to impoverished people withAIDS. Cook was also a contract administrator with the Departmentof Housing and Urban Development.
