Abstract: God's Love We Deliver is a non-profit organization that delivers gourmet meals to homebound people with AIDS. Buddy Noro, the group's special events coordinator, came up with the idea of a Gift of 1,000 Parties to raise $100,000 for the organization. Since November, groups ranging from a Latino family to members of the Trump organization have raised a total of $80,000 in donations at parties for the organization. A group of 17 paid staff members and 200 volunteers makes meals for God's Love in the kitchen of the West Park Presbyterian Church in Manhattan. On an average day, the group delivers 130 meals to Manhattan, the Bronx, and Brooklyn. Some hosts were inspired to hold a party by the help God's Love provided to their friends and loved ones. Noro says "the ripple effect" from one party often leads to the scheduling of others. Another 30 are now being planned.
