9th International Congress on AIDS in Asia and the Pacific (ICAAP)

UNAIDS - 9 August 2009


This year's conference will bring together more than 3,000 delegates from Asia and the Pacific to address HIV issues in the region and to build synergies. The congress's theme is "Empowering People - Strengthening Networks". UNAIDS will participate in several sessions and Mr Prasada Rao, Director, UNAIDS Regional Support Team Asia and the Pacific, will lead UNAIDS' delegation and also deliver the Executive Director's keynote address. A new report on HIV transmission in intimate partner relationships in Asia will be launched on 11 August. Follow ICAAP on unaids.org.
