On A Budget This Holiday Season? Shop at Boomerangs.

PRNewswire - December 20, 2005

BOSTON, Dec. 20 /PRNewswire/ -- Boomerangs, AIDS Action Committee's award- winning resale store, specializes in new and vintage clothing for men, women, and children. As well, Boomerangs offers a variety of affordable new and previously loved gifts, housewares, electronics and furniture.

"We have forged tremendous relationships to receive new merchandise and high-end, brand-name clothing to complement the familiar donated items. From shirts and jeans to suits and dress shirts, we have it all, including eveningwear," said Richard Lemire, Regional Director of Boomerangs.

Accolades for Boomerangs are bountiful, lauded for its charitable cause connection and low prices. The Boston Phoenix named the store the "Best Place to Absorb the Culture of Back Atcha." Boston Uncovered, a magazine specializing in reaching the college audience in Boston named the store "One of The Finest Resale/Charity Operations." Also, The Boston Herald named it "One of the Best Clothing Stores in Jamaica Plain."

"Boomerangs is a critical source of revenue to AIDS Action as we serve those living with HIV/AIDS and work to prevent the spread of this terrible disease. Without the generous support of private donors and business partners including Garage Sale, the high-end consignment shop in The South End, Boomerangs would not have the quality merchandise necessary to support this important work," said Rebecca Haag, AAC's Executive Director.

Launched a decade ago on Canal Street, Boomerangs now has two stores. Its flagship store is located in Jamaica Plain and its newest location is in Brighton. Boomerang's is open Monday through Saturday from 10:30 a.m.-7 p.m. and on Sunday from noon - 6 p.m. The neighborhood pick-up service operates throughout the greater Boston area and up to 50 miles from the Jamaica Plain and Brighton locations.
