Medical Services President Invited to Meet With Senior Chinese Health Officials

PRNewswire - December 2, 2003

EDMONTON, Alberta, Dec. 2 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Medical Services International Inc. (Pinksheets: MSITF) is pleased to announce that the Company President, Robert Talbot has been invited to meet with Senior Health Officials in the People's Republic of China. Final preparations are currently underway for the meetings which are imminent.

"We are very pleased to have the opportunity to meet with the Senior health officials and to review with them our progress regarding regulatory approval. The SDA application has been filed and both laboratory and live testing started several weeks ago. We also look forward to visiting the recently established local offices for the marketing and support of the VScan test kits," stated Robert Talbot.

In addition to the meeting with senior health officials, meetings have been arranged with the Chinese Health Management Organization (HMO) who represents hospitals in 12 provinces and has issued the Company a letter of intent that could easily represent a potential first year volume of 3,000,000 to 5,000,000 HIV test kits.

Medical Services is the first Company that has signed an agreement with a Chinese Distribution Company that has a Distribution License to distribute HIV test kits. Test kits for HIV cannot be sold in China without a Distribution License even if approval is received by regulatory agencies.

Medical Services is the only HIV test kit that has applied for approval based on both HIV 1&2. The company's test kit uses whole blood, serum and plasma and does not require refrigeration, specialized medical equipment or trained medical personnel. This makes it ideal for testing in remote areas.

The company has been advised that whole blood is the preferred method of testing as it can be done on the spot with immediate results. The live testing done in Florida and in other locations has shown that the VScan test kit is very accurate and easy to use in the field using whole blood.

About VScan

The VScan rapid test kit is a single use, disposable, accurate (greater than 99%), cost effective, easy to use test for the screening of HIV 1&2 and subgroup O, Hepatitis B&C, and Tuberculosis (TB). The kits cannot be sold in Canada.

Medical services International Inc. trades in the United States on the NQB Pinksheets under the symbol "MSITF". For further information, please contact Robert Talbot at (780) 430 6363 or Bill Whitehead Jr. at (416) 822 5883 or http://www.medicalservicesintl.com .
