WEST HOLLYWOOD, Calif., Nov. 26 /PRNewswire/ -- AIDS Healthcare Foundation (AHF) the nation's largest AIDS organization which operates free AIDS treatment clinics in the United States, South Africa, Uganda and Honduras, will mark this year's observation of World AIDS Day -- Monday, December 1st -- with a festive fundraiser and silent auction for AIDS Healthcare Foundation's Global Immunity program with some Hollywood help via a generous donation from 20th Century Fox, the producers of the high-profile television drama, "Buffy the Vampire Slayer" and the operators of the popular West Hollywood nightclub, here. The event, a martini reception and silent auction of props and set pieces from 'Buffy,' will be held at here (696 N. Robertson, West Hollywood) from 7pm to 11pm. Suggested donation at the door will be $20, and all proceeds will benefit AHF Global Immunity's efforts to provide lifesaving anti-retroviral therapy to more patients at its free AIDS treatment clinics in South Africa, Uganda and Honduras.
A vast array of props, set pieces and artwork from the cult television show "Buffy the Vampire Slayer" (starring Sarah Michelle Gellar) have been donated and will be for sale at the Monday gala.
Expected to attend the AHF Save a Life event are Joanie Laurer (WWE's Chyna) and Chris Showerman ("George of the Jungle II"). In addition, a number of other Hollywood personalities have been invited and are considering attending the AIDS fundraiser.
AIDS Healthcare Foundation is the largest specialized provider of HIV/AIDS medical care in the United States. AHF serves thousands of patients in California, New York and Florida regardless of their insurance status or ability to pay. AHF also operates free AIDS treatment clinics in South Africa, Uganda and Honduras via its AHF Global Immunity program.
