Caring For Babies With AIDS To Benefit From A / X Armani Exchange's `Giving Never Goes Out of Style' Holiday Campaign

PR Newswire, 18 December 1996.

LOS ANGELES, Dec. 18 /PRNewswire/ -- CARING FOR BABIES WITH AIDS, the only organization of its kind dedicated to providing residential, direct care and outreach services to HIV/AIDS affected children and families living in Los Angeles, has been selected by A / X ARMANI EXCHANGE of Santa Monica, CA as recipients of its third annual "Giving Never Goes Out of Style" holiday campaign.

As part of a nationwide project, 26 A / X Armani stores are participating in the campaign by offering special limited edition T-shirts and donating profits from the sale of the shirts to regional charities of choice. Long- sleeved and 100% cotton jersey, the shirts bear the A / X logo and feature Giorgio Armani's signature printed across the front. Offered in black or white, they retail for $25.00.

Caring For Babies With AIDS was first established in 1987 and has since built two residential facilities which provide a safe, loving and stable family environment for indigent and homeless HIV/AIDS children, ages birth to eight years. Its outreach program, Family Support Services, provides crisis intervention, case management, mental health and support services to HIV affected families living in the Los Angeles community. A well respected member of the AIDS service community, Caring For Babies With AIDS has been a subcontractor of the Los Angeles Pediatric AIDS Network for four years; a recipient of the first Child Care Innovator Award from the Mayor's office of the City of Los Angeles; and, after a recent inspection by the independent Los Angeles Housing Exchange, placed in the top 2% of all AIDS housing in Los Angeles county.

The A / X Armani Exchange store in Santa Monica is located at 2940 Main Street.
