LOS ANGELES, Nov. 6 /PRNewswire/ -- David Hyde Pierce, Celebrity Chairman for CARING FOR BABIES WITH AIDS' (CBA) 5th Annual Fundraising "Stroll-A-Thon" Sunday, November 12, 1995 at Roxbury Park in Beverly Hills, California, will be joined by deeply concerned celebrities and an anticipated 2,500 supportive Los Angeles citizens who will walk in solidarity to raise awareness and funds for Los Angeles children and families affected by AIDS.

1995 Emmy Award winner for his portrayal of Dr. Niles Crane on the hit NBC television series "Frasier," Pierce will lead the 5k Stroll with "Frasier" co-stars Jane Leeves and Peri Gilpin, Lily Tomlin, Greg Louganis, Joe Lando ("Dr. Quinn, Medicine Woman"), Laurie Metcalf ("Roseanne"), Ray Walston (1995 Emmy Award winner "Picket Fences"), Eric Lutes ("Caroline in the City"), Phil Hartman ("Newsradio"), Deidre Hall ("Days of our Lives"), Mike Burger and Maty Monfort ("Mike & Maty"), Miguel Ferrer ("The Stand"; "Twin Peaks"), Leilani Sorrel-Ferrer ("Basic Instinct"), Susan Powter ("The Susan Powter Show"), Bob Goen ("Entertainment Tonight"), Matthew Laurence ("Beverly Hills 90210"), Susan Ruttan ("L.A. The only organization of its kind in Los Angeles, CARING FOR BABIES WITH AIDS provides direct care and residential services to indigent and homeless HIV/AIDS children, ages birth to eight years old, while its outreach program "Family Support Services" provides crisis intervention and case management to HIV affected children and families living in Los Angeles.

Though advance registration is preferred, Stroll participants can register at the Roxbury site beginning at 9:00 a.m. Suggested minimum donation is $25.00 per person. Opening ceremonies, hosted by Bob Goen ("Entertainment Tonight"), are slated to begin at 9:30 a.m. followed by Susan Powter ("The Susan Powter Show") who will conduct warm-up exercises for all participants. The Stroll begins at 10:00 a.m. from Roxbury Park with participants returning there for a complimentary brunch at 11:00 a.m. provided by I & Joy Bagels, Arrowhead Water, Trader Joe's and many others, with entertainment by the Great American Yankee Freedom Band, rhythm and blues artists Jondo, and the popular dance team Milo & Kiley of ESPN 2's daily "Hip Hop Body Shop."

Among numerous donated gifts in recognition as the event's top fundraisers and in such categories as "Best Decorated Stroller" and "Best Dressed Dog," participants will be eligible to receive a Princess Cruise for two of the Caribbean (air fares included), two round-trip air fares to New York via American Airlines, and gift certificates to area restaurants and attractions such as Morton's, Louise's Trattoria, Disney's "Beauty and the Beast," Disneyland, Mann Theatres and many others.
