LOS ANGELES TIMES (LT) - TUESDAY November 17, 1987

While long-term counseling for people who test HIV positive is limited, a number of organizations have formed support groups.

The Edelman Health Center in Hollywood, part of the Gay and Lesbian Community Services Center, has several groups, including one for people who are developing symptoms of AIDS. Information: (213) 464-7400.

The group Positive Living for US, which has applied for nonprofit status, held a weekend seminar in Los Angeles in mid-October and will hold another Feb. 5-7. Participants learn about stress reduction, meditation and visualization, nutrition and vitamins, and alternative therapies. Information: (213) 855-0640 or (213) 852-1480.

Kim Hartstein, one of the group's directors, has also started a support group that meets at his West Hollywood home.
