Adolescent AIDS Program
Bronx, New York, the Adolescent AIDS Program at the Children's Hospital at Montefiore Medical Center is a leader in the field of HIV/AIDS among adolescents. The AAP serves as a local and national resource for those living with HIV/AIDS; adolescents who are at-risk for HIV infection; healthcare providers who treat adolescents living with or at-risk for HIV infection; and lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender or questioning adolescents, their families and caregivers.

Baylor International Pediatric AIDS Initiative
The mission of the Baylor International Pediatric AIDS Initiative is to promote health for all people through education, research, and public service. HIVkids is a private nonprofit organization of volunteers. Their mission is to provide food, clothing, shelter, and HAPPINESS to children and families who are infected, affected, or orphaned by HIV/AIDS.

Immunopaedia is an online initiative designed to assist healthcare providers to better understand immunology so that treatment and prevention strategies against HIV/AIDS can be better understood. Our target audiences are registrars, healthcare professionals, scientists and students and our main focus is on the understanding of HIV/AIDS in children.

MTCT-Plus
The MTCT-Plus Initiative takes a team approach toward the care and treatment of people living with HIV/AIDS in resource limited settings. Administrative, clinical, and training efforts are coordinated to develop multidisciplinary treatment at MTCT-Plus sites for comprehensive care of participants and their families. The purpose of the site is to provide information in order to improve the quality of life for youth as it pertains to HIV/AIDS. This major UK Department for International Development (DfID) funded research programme has developed a series of free resources aimed at increasing the capacity of policy-makers, practitioners and researchers working to promote young people's sexual health in resource-constrained settings.

Sunshine For HIV Kids, Inc. is a nonprofit tax exempt (501c3) organization that identifies and raises funds for charities who directly (no bureaucrats) deliver care to children afflicted with HIV / AIDS and their families.

WHO: Child and Adolescent Health and Development
According to estimates by UNAIDS and WHO, more than four million children under the age of 15 have been infected with HIV since the epidemic began. More than 90% of them were infants born to HIV-positive mothers who acquired the virus before or during birth or through breastfeeding. Because HIV infection often progresses quickly to AIDS in children, most of the children under 15 who have been infected have developed AIDS, and most of these children have died. Another 13 million children have lost their mother or both parents to the disease.
