Commentary: HIV Exceptionalism Revisited

AIDS & Public Policy Journal 9, no. 1 (Spring 1994): 16-17
Ronald Bayer

In the last issue of the AIDS & Public Policy Journal, Michael Isbell sought to provide a broad ideological framework for AIDS prevention in the United States. His analysis has many important and acute observations and should be the subject of careful and thoughtful consideration and debate. I write this brief response only to correct what I believe to be a misconstrual of my own work on Isbell's part.
