AIDS Epidemiology, Impact, Prevention, and Control: The World Health Organization Perspective

I would like to review the salient features of the global AIDS situation. However, in addition to monitoring and interpreting international trends, the World Health Organization (WHO) has a responsibility to act. Accordingly, in the second part of this talk I would like to summarize the global consensus and major elements of the global strategy for AIDS prevention and control.
