The United States Public Health Service provides many resources through their website at www.aidsinfo.nih.gov. Guidelines for the treatment of HIV/AIDS and the treatment and prevention of opportunistic infections (OI)s related to HIV disease are posted there on a regular basis as new information comes to light. Presidential Campaigns : The Kaiser Family Foundation has
created a non-partisan news and information site that rivals any other
for comprehensive tracking of what is going on with health related
politics, including the positions and statements of those running for
President in the 2008 election
Buying Health Insurance can be easier than it is now. There are many different types you can choose from. Although we focus on providing services to people who are eligible for Medicaid, Medicare, ADAP and other programs such as Patient Assistance Programs, we still have clients who either have or who want to buy private insurance.
For those who like to get the facts on their own and enjoy navigating through the dozens of potential sources of assistance, the City of New York has created a website that you can use to order school meals, as well as check out what type of city program you might be eligible for. They also have a section on buyinghealth insurance. Check it out at NYC.GOV. Or use the Request Information Link at the top of any page and we'll give you a hand (In New York City, New York State or throughout the country). There are also other languages (we can assist you in Spanish as well) available through ACCESS NYC as well, a section of the site, such as Ver ACCESS NYC
Education and Training help communities, health care and services
providers, and individuals learn about programs and services. We're
creating a library of fact sheets, reports, resources and internet links
to inform, educate, and encourage collaboration and networking among

The Regional Resource Network Project (RRNP),
funded by the Office of HIV/AIDS Policy at the DHHS is launching a
National HIV Testing Mobilization Campaign, a national effort to
promote HIV testing, policies and stigma reduction in minority
communities. If you know of a conference, workshop, event, fair,
convention, or non-traditional venues that may benefit from having an
exhibition booth/table and/or speaker on HIV prevention, RRNP is
interested in engaging civic groups, faith communities, businesses,
organizations, and other individuals that don't typically talk about
health issues, especially HIV prevention.

profit New York city based organization that provides national services.
Patient Assistance Programs - Sometimes you must look for programs to cover the costs of your treatments or care. You might need to try a Patient Assistance Program. The pharmaceutical industry has set up programs that offer medications for free, or sometimes at a very low price. E-mail us for a specific drug or company's program. There are also other options we can suggest, such as savings cards or retail promotions at large chain stores. Specifics need to be worked out.
The Treatment Action Group
(TAG) publishes the 2008 Pipeline Report :
Experimental Treatments and Preventive Therapies for HIV, Hepatitis C,

Accessing Medications and Program Explanations - NASTAD is working on hepatitis screening, http://www.rxassist.org/ is offering up to 40% discounts on prescription drugs, and pparx.org offers listings of lots of access programs.
The Immunization Action
Coalition: The Immunization Action Coalition, a 501(c)3
nonprofit organization, works to increase immunization rates and prevent
disease by creating and distributing educational materials for health
professionals and the public that enhance the delivery of safe and
effective immunization services. The Coalition also facilitates
communication about the safety, efficacy, and use of vaccines within the
broad immunization community of patients, parents, health care
organizations, and government health agencies.
