HIV-AIDS BureauThe Massachusetts ADAP Program is subcontracted to CRI New England and is called HDAP. HDAP can pay for medications and drug co-pays, private non-group health insurance premiums and premium co-pays, HIV resistance testing (genotype and virtual phenotype lab tests), and post-exposure prophylaxis (PEP)for potential non-occupational exposures to HIV.In order to apply for the HDAP, one is required to file jointly for Medicaid. In most cases, Medicaid has premiums which will be covered by the HDAP Program. You can be dually enrolled in both the Medicaid and HDAP Program. There is also the CHII Program, for people unable to apply for Medicaid - they can apply for private insurance and CHII Program will cover the insurance premiums.Enrollment
To enroll, complete an HDAP application and mail the completed form with all support documentation to Community Research Initiative of New England/HDAP, 23 Miner Street, Boston, MA 02215-3319
