Program Eligibility
The patient must meet the following criteria to qualify:
  • Must be a U.S. Citizen or legal resident.
  • Has no health insurance or no prescription coverage.
  • Not eligible for Medicaid, ADAP, or other drug assistance programs.
  • For Viramune, patients must have an annual income equal to or lower than $25,000, while for families of two or more the income level would be up to $40,000).
  • For other drugs, they must have annual income equal to or lower than 200% of the Federal Poverty Level.
Enrollment Process
Doctors or patients can call to enroll. Completed application must be submitted with current proof of income and an original, valid prescription. All applications are reviewed for eligibility criteria and responses sent within two days of receipt.
Re-Application
Once accepted into the program, a three-month supply of the drug will be sent to the doctor's office. Annual re-application will be needed. An reminder letter will be sent from the program when the time comes.
Comments
There will be no co-payments or fees charged for participating in the program, and no membership card will be required. Applicants will not be subjected to a review of their assets.
