ISSUE: Condom, the barrier of choice, can effectively put barrier to the rising friends of HIV, STI Prevalence and incidance and unwanted pregnancies
DESCRIPTION: STD/HIV Intervention Programme (SHIP), widely known as Sonagachi Project, Started in 1992, working over 45 red light areas STD clinics and Condom Promotion, had conducted 4 Point Prevalence Survey in 1993, 1995, 1998 and 2001, over randomly selected sample of sex workers. Reinfection Status: [table: see text]So the reinfection rate is also decreasing Recommendation: Condom, little to pay, easy to use, hygenic, acceptable and promotable can be a reasonable barrier to the burning issue.
