The D.R.Congo with 60,000,000 people, country in war since 1996; 700 to 1,000 rape of women per day; positive prevelence is 5% betwen 15 to 49 years and 3% to pregnancy women.

- Prevention of mother to child transmission is one of the great strategies of fight against HIV but low national cover : 12%

- Poor country with an annual raw revenu USD 78 per people.

Objectives of Prevention of Mother To Child Transmission (PMTCT):

1) To strenght the interventions capacities of actors involved in PMTCT.

2) To reduce the transmission risk from mother to child in the health zone.

3) To improve the access of the infected families by the HIV to the care service of opportunist infections and ARV.

4) To install a real integreted planing of communication for the changing of behaviour.

Strategies and methods:

1) The selection of medical structures of reproduction health to be integrate PMTCT.

2) The opening of volontary check up centers.

3) The promotion of healthy alimentation of mothers and mainly of borned baby to positive mother.

4) The caring of opportunist infections.

Obtained results: Report between tested women and advised:

1) Kinshasa : 17, 736 / 22,300( positive prevalence 3%)

2) Bas-Congo : 1,750 / 2,500 advised (positive prevalence 5%)

3) South Kivu : Positive prevalence 2.3%

4) The PMTCT adhesion in Kinshasa = 80% to the women.

Difficulties:

1) Low ARV access : cost USD 50 / month / cure / patient against USD 78 annual raw revenu per people.

2) The shy adhesion of men to the PMTCT.

3) The war territories are not always accessible for implanting the PMTCT.
