John Barrow, M.D.

Dr. John Barrow received his doctorate degree from the University of South Florida. He has many years experience in the field of Pathology, the scientific study of the nature of disease and its causes, processes, development and consequences. He also earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Zoology and the French Language at Duke University.

Board certified since 1984 in Anatomic and Clinical Pathology, Dr. Barrow spent his post graduate education as a resident at the University of South Florida. He received two fellowship grants from MD Anderson Hospital at University of Texas, for the purpose of researching Surgical Pathology and Hematopathology. His years of studying the French language would prove to be helpful as he was awarded a research fellowship grant for studies in Hematopathology from Hôpital St.-Louis, located in Paris, France.

Hard work in the field earned him a position as a staff Pathologist at Boca Raton Community Hospital in Boca Raton, Florida, and he was also granted a faculty appointment as an Associate Professor at the University of Miami, College of Medicine. At the National Institutes of Health Dr. Barrow is a member of the Community Constituency Group, and Adult Aids Clinical Trials Group.
