Has there been any documented cases of HIV from someone spitting in the face of another person with blood in the saliva or not? I cannot find any literature on either scenarios.
To the best of my knowledge there is no evidence of spitting, even if blood tinged, transmitting HIV. This is consistent with the data the HIV positive blood does not seem to transmit through intact skin, even if minor breaks in the skin like dermatitis or razor burns are present.
