I had unprotected sex sometime in 2000-01 with a sex worker and that was my first sexual experience.
I got married in December 2002 and me and my wife have been absolutely faithfully all through out. She got pregnant in Jan 2005 and she had the mandatory HIV test done in her 3rd month of pregnancy and it came as negative only.
Suddenly I feel a bit paranoid about having being HIV positive.
Are there chances that I would be HIV positive? We both have been having a committed relationship and I have not strayed out for sex or even any sort of activites with anyone after the first experience.
Please advise

The only way you will have peace of mind is taking the HIV test. According to the information that your kindly provided to us, it seems quite remote the possibility of having the HIV infection. However, the only way you will be sure is taking the HIV test. In the mean time keep a healthy monogamus relationship with your wife and the chances of HIV in your life are minimal. Take care.
