Hello, my 9.5 week antibody test came back negative I will go
back in week 13 again. My question is I have asthma and I am on
the medication Advair inhaler, I read in the pamphlet that came
with it that while taking this med it may take longer to recover
from some illness and surgery. If this med affects the immune
system can it effect the amount of time it takes my body to
produce antibodies from the virus?
Thank you
No inhaled corticosteroids give only a very low dose of these compounds, and while they have "immuno suppressive" properties, it just isn't a problem.
HIV vaccine trials, which use very sensitive tests for immune function, do not exclude people who use these inhalers.
