Question:

Hello..thank you for taking the time to read this. My question is that I have the HPV virus and recently took 2 HIV tests..One at 10 weeks(negative) and the other was the orasure test at 15 weeks(negative) and I was wondering if the HPV virus is considered an autoimmune diease and could cause false negative results on my HIV testing?
Thank you so much for your time.

Good news: the HPV will NOT interfere with accurate HIV testing.

You're right to be concerned because we do know of one case where the presence of one chronic viral infection can effect the efficay of test for the other (in this case, HIV infection can interfere with hepatitis C antibody testing). But in the case you raise all is well!
