Abstract: Significant numbers of people with HIV are physically feeling better and would like to return to work but are concerned about losing their disability-related benefits. If they return to work and forfeit coverage, and then their health declines, they could be left with inadequate benefits. Issues to explore when making a decision are discussed. Patients are cautioned to check their potential benefits with qualified sources before returning to work.
