Abstract: This study was undertaken to assess the state of the european population's knowledge on HIV transmission and means of protection. Data were delivered from different national surveys based on questionnaires administered to general population samples. The results showed that the population's knowledge on HIV/AIDS are insufficient or even incorrect.
